From 8 to 13 September, the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle will welcome something extraordinary: the major relic of St Carlo Acutis, the young saint whose short life continues to speak powerfully to a generation raised on screens and searching for meaning.

Carlo was fifteen when he died. He loved the Eucharist with a devotion rare for someone his age, coded websites in his spare time, and spent much of his life quietly working to help others find their way to Jesus. He has since become known, affectionately, as “God’s influencer,” proof that sanctity isn’t confined to the past, and that it can look remarkably like someone you’d recognise from your own street, or your own family.
