A group to discuss this 2025 book on LGBTIQA+ people in the Catholic Church

This 4-week facilitated discussion group will explore the recently published book, “Rainbow of God’s Creation: LGBTIQA+ Realities and Catholicism,” by Australian author, Trish Hindmarsh. The book has four short and easy-to-read chapters, each with discussion questions and a prayer:

  1. Why has the Church been so slow to change? (Saturday 13 June 2026)
  2. The tide is turning: Signs of Catholic support for LGBTIQA+ people (Saturday 20 June 2026)
  3. The ‘Rainbow’: Symbol and Spectrum (Saturday 27 June 2026)
  4. Where to from here for the Catholic Church? (Saturday 04 July 2026)

Each week, participants are encouraged to read the relevant chapter in preparation for discussion.

COST: Your $25 registration fee gives you: access to each session, afternoon tea and your own copy of the book.

LOCATION: The group will meet in the Diocesan Resource Centre, and car parking is available at 841 Hunter Street, Newcastle West, NSW, 2302.
