Hunter Community Housing
Hunter Community Housing is a nationally registered Tier 2 Community Housing Provider offering secure and affordable housing to people in need in our community. Established by the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle in 2023, it helps address growing housing needs across our region.
HCH provides a range of housing options, including supported independent living for young people transitioning from out-of-home care, group homes, affordable housing and market housing. Through strategic growth, advocacy and a commitment to affordability, HCH works to ensure more people can access safe, stable and well-located housing.
Working closely with CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning and other community partners, HCH also connects tenants with support services such as financial counselling, employment assistance and education programs.
Guided by the diocesan values of hope, compassion, justice, integrity and participation, HCH is committed to helping people thrive through safe housing and meaningful community connections.
