aMeN caMiNo
For almost ten years, in excess of 100 people from across the Diocese and beyond have journeyed the bush, beach and backyards of our beautiful landscape on the aMeN caMiNo. This Jubilee Year we are each invited to be physical Pilgrims of Hope. Is this your year to ‘step up’ and experience the journey?

2025 NAIDOC Week Prayer Service
6 Jul 25The purpose of pilgrimage is journey. You are invited to join the aMeN caMiNo journey and let your stories and experiences meet others. Camino has a long and established Christian history, it means ‘road’ or ‘way’.
A famous Camino is St James Way or Camino de Santiago in Spain. The first Christian movement in the 1st Century was known as ‘The Way’.
The aMeN CaMiNo is a response to a desire to be in communion with each other and our sacred earth. It is an opportunity to pause from routine, immerse yourself in reflection, contemplation and to provide a moment of space for each person to be conscious of God’s gift of Grace.
Amen is the word Christian’s use to say ‘Yes, we are on our way to God.’ By joining us on the “aMeN CaMiNo”, you are saying yes to something in your heart which is calling you.
For the first time in addition to our five-day pilgrimage, we are now offering the chance to tap in, and out over various days of the official 100km walk between August 6-10.
- Friday 8 August join us as we walk into Cooranbong to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mary MacKillop (3km). A place she herself visited!
- Saturday 9 August join us around the lake from Toronto to Warners Bay (12km)
- Sunday 10 August from Redhead to Newcastle (20km).
Or, join us for the first weekend in September as we welcome spring at Tea Gardens, over 5-12km.
