The good news of Jesus Christ is realised when it is lived out in relationships and community.

Gathering together is at the heart of what it means to be a Catholic community. Parishes and schools do this regularly and in so many ways to foster relationships between us all.
The Diocese also hosts events that are open to everyone, regardless of age, gender and background. These are enriching experiences of faith, service and community, and are tailored to ensure that the people of God in our Diocese feel nourished and supported in their place of serving and celebrating God’s mission.
Events and groups provide the community with opportunities to let life flow out of who we are, how we interact, and whether we are open to inviting others.
One event that takes place every year during Lent is the Way of the Cross. This is an ongoing pilgrimage where the people of our Diocese and those who they invite can re-encounter the story of Jesus’ passion. The community engages with other participants and contemplate together how we are transformed as people of faith to those around us as we walk the Way of the Cross.
Another event is the Annual Sisters of Faith Dinner. This is an opportunity to provide a platform for dialogue among women from diverse backgrounds and faiths to foster learning, sharing, and unity in addressing various societal issues. Over the years, the event has featured guest speakers from Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faiths.

You can also let us know if your parish or faith community is hosting an event that is open to the broader Diocesan community so we can share it more broadly. Check the events page or your local Parish website to find a program or gathering near you.
