Calvary Retirement Communities

Calvary Retirement Communities

In April 2011, the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle transferred its aged care services (formerly operated by Catholic Care of the Aged and CatholicCare) to Little Company of Mary Health Care, for operation by Calvary.

Calvary offers a unique and extensive network of services covering hospital-based services at the Calvary Mater Waratah, aged care services incorporating more than 700 aged care beds, and Calvary Community Care services enabling people to remain in the community, in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.

Calvary offers the same quality aged care services that CatholicCare did, and more, including:

  • Residential aged care facilities offer home-like accommodation for those who require assistance with their daily living activities. Qualified staff are available 24 hours a day.
  • Independent Living offers stability, security and a real sense of community for older people looking to move to a smaller home that requires less maintenance.
  • The Community Aged Care team provides in-home care and offers respite services and accommodation to support older people to remain living in their own home.
