CatholicCare recognised at NSW Premier's Awards for Public Service
In November 2012 CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning was invited to attend the NSW Premier’s Awards for Public Service night based on two programs CatholicCare has been involved in for the past four years.
Louise Dean, Team Leader for CatholicCare's Supported Independent Living and Aftercare programs, was the organisation's representative for the occasion. CatholicCare Social Services was nominated in the following categories:
The Premier’s Partnership Award for the This Way Home project. CatholicCare is a partner agency on this Compass Housing, Housing NSW collaborative social housing project with several other local organisations.
The Revitalising Regional NSW category for CatholicCare’s work on the Work and Development Order (WDO) program in conjunction with Legal Aid NSW, State Debt Recovery Office and the Crime Prevention Division of the Department of Attorney General and Justice and the Aboriginal Legal Service.
Both nominations made it to the top four finalists based on over forty nominations.
Congratulations to all those in CatholicCare involved in the excellent work that led to these nominations.
