A glorious Sunday afternoon saw a large crowd gather for the annual Ecumenical Way of the Cross at St Joseph’s, Kilaben Bay.
This year was the 50th anniversary of the event in our diocese. The Way of the Cross, this year involving nine of our diocesan schools, follows the passion and death of Jesus and allows us to bear witness to his pain, desolation and courage. As we follow Jesus on his journey we begin to see in his suffering our own struggle, pain and vulnerability.
As always, the stations were enacted beautifully by all involved and it was wonderful to see so many students taking part in bringing Jesus’ passion and death to life for those gathered.
