The School of St Jude- 2017 Australia Tour

Former Aussie teacher Gemma Sisia opened the gates to the School of St Jude in Tanzania 15 years ago and now, thanks to the support of thousands of Australians, it provides a free, high-quality education to 1,800 promising yet impoverished students. Time To Draw The Line- Movie event

"TIME TO DRAW THE LINE" uses archival and fascinating interview footage to reveal a contemporary David and Goliath story between Australia and our neighbour, Timor Leste.

 

This is cinema on demand. HOW IT WORKS:

- If we make the quota the film will be shown in Newcastle on March 15. - If we don't make the quota: you won't pay and the screening will not happen. You will be notified by Demand Film (or like and check our local event page).

- If we go above the quota, (!) profits are donated the East Timor Sea Justice campaign.

Ecumenical Taize style service

Merewether Uniting Church, 178 Glebe Rd, Merewether

The services commence at 7pm for 45 minutes and are characterized by the repetitive singing of simple harmonized tunes, often in various languages, interspersed with readings, prayers, and a period of silence. Services are followed by supper.

New members are invited to join the music team.
